• Monday 8 June 2026 Year 3 Councillor Paul Martin Year 3 have been learning how to write persuasive letters as part of their English lessons. After discovering how pollution is affecting our local River Mersey, the children felt passionate about making a difference and decided to put their persuasive writing skills into action.
• Friday 5 June 2026 Careers in Gaming: A Visit from Industry Professionals Pupils at St George's were treated to a truly exciting careers assembly this week, hearing from two incredible guests with fascinating roles in the gaming industry.

• Friday 5 June 2026 Swap It, Love It, Read It! Top Site Swap Shop. Just before the half term break, Topsite held a wonderful Book Swap Shop, giving children the chance to bring in a pre-loved book and swap it for a new read to enjoy over the holidays.

• Friday 22 May 2026 Oracy No Pen Wednesday This week, children across the school have been taking part on 'No Pen' activities to support their learning. This has allowed children to build confidence through speaking, listening, thoughtful discussion and exploring ways people can communication. Children took part in carefully planned oracy activities to bring their learning to life.

• Friday 24 April 2026 Year Five British Values Poetry for St George's Day Year 5 had great fun this week creating and performing a piece of poetry and performing it, around the subject of the British Values in celebration of St George's Day. We hope you enjoy it too!
• Thursday 23 April 2026 Happy St George's Day We had brilliant weather today, showcasing our children's amazing costumes and flags. We served over 870 picnic lunches and 900 ice lollies.
• Wednesday 22 April 2026 Year 3/4 Mini Golf at Activity for All Some of our year 3 and 4 children had a great time at Mini Golf on Tuesday morning with a few of them getting a hole in one!

• Wednesday 15 April 2026 Oracy History Lesson in 6E - Debating the legacies of slavery. This afternoon, we delved into the past to explore the legacy of slavery in Britain, from key revolutions through to the passing of the Slavery Abolition Act on 28th August 1833. The children thoughtfully considered both sides of the argument, using historical sources to support their ideas. It was a pleasure to see their mature and reflective performances around such a significant and sensitive topic.

• Thursday 26 March 2026 3A & 3B - DT Year 3 children in classes 3A and 3B have had a fantastic time creating a savoury food item as part of their DT project. They used a range of practical skills, including chopping, peeling, grating and spreading, to prepare their chosen product—either a bagel, sandwich or wrap. The children selected a variety of healthy ingredients and carefully considered the Eatwell Guide, which they have previously explored in both Science and DT lessons.

• Wednesday 25 March 2026 A fabulous First day at the Conway Centre! Year 4 have settled into their activities and have been real firestarters! They have been on the water, up the climbing wall, across the zip wire and toasted marshmallows in the woods!
