Our Year 4 teaching staff are dedicated to fostering a love of learning and helping every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With their passion for teaching and a creative approach to the curriculum, they ensure lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of every pupil.

The team works collaboratively to provide a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and build confidence in their abilities.

Beyond the classroom, they support a range of extracurricular activities and aim to nurture well-rounded, curious learners ready to take on new challenges. Our Year 4 team is here to inspire, motivate, and guide your child through this exciting stage of their educational journey!

The Essentials

Homework

Homework plays a valuable role in supporting your child’s academic development by reinforcing key concepts, building independence as well as developing our home-school partnership. By supporting your child to complete their homework on time, you are ensuring your child has the best possible chance of success. Typically, homework is assigned via Google Classroom on Friday afternoons and is to be returned the following week. This usually consists of four reads per week and Maths Whizz as a minimum. Limitless Learning opportunities may be offered to allow you child to explore their interests further.

Multiplication Times Tables Check Information for Parents

In Year 4, your child will complete a Multiplication Check over a two week period, we will clarify the dates in due course. We are clear that this is not a stressful process for children but becomes part of their routine as the time approaches. Staff have designed a curriculum which adquately prepares your child for this statutory assessment but if you would like to further support your child, or find out more information, then there are links below.
