Year 5 Enjoy River Cr-Ouse

Year 5 (Group 1) had a wonderful experience embarking on a river cruise in York. The children boarded the boat with excitement, ready to see the city from a new perspective. As the cruise began, they marvelled at the stunning views along the River Ouse, taking in the beautiful scenery and historic landmarks lining the riverbanks.

During the cruise, the children learned fascinating facts about York's history and its significance as a trade and transport hub in ancient times. The knowledgeable guide shared stories about the city’s past, bringing history to life as the students sailed beneath medieval bridges and past centuries-old buildings.

The river cruise was not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable, providing a unique and memorable way for the children to explore York. Their laughter and curiosity filled the air, making this the highlight of day one.
