Year 4 Experience Easter

This week each Year 4 class took a trip to St Hillary’s church for Experience Easter.

We headed to different stations to hear in detail the different parts of the Easter story.

At station 1, Patrica taught us about longing, waiting and prosperity. We learnt about when Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on a donkey and was greeted by the people. We thought about things we have been waiting for and wrote down our hopes and dreams.

At station 2, Beverly taught us about kindness. We heard a story about when Jesus washed the disciples feet to teach his them how to show kindness to others.

At station 3, Sheila taught us all about the last supper and how Jesus was betrayed by one of his closest friends. We thought about how special some of our meals have been with our families.

At station 4, Deni and Sue taught us all about loneliness and how we can find comfort in all sorts of things, people or things. We thought about what gives us comfort and made it with dough.

At station 5, Ann taught us all about hope, Jesus of Nazareth, his sorrows and the day that he died. We learnt all about the symbolism of the crown of thorns, the purple robe, dice and INRI label on his cross.

The Year 4 children and staff wanted to say a huge thank you to Caroline and everyone at St Hilary’s for such a wonderful experience.

Thank you and Happy Easter
