UKLA book winners announced!

Since September, Miss Spurdle and Mrs Taylor have read and judged 40 KS2 books as part of the UKLA book awards. In March, we were part of a team who shortlisted these down to 6 fiction texts and 6 non-fiction texts. Today, we revealed the winners from both categories at a special event outside the reading shed.

The winners were:

Safiyyah’s War by Hiba Noor Khan

Brilliant Black British History

Children enjoyed cool drinks on blankets as they listened to excerpts from the books and some managed to grab themselves a copy to read.
