The Big Vote

Over the past half term, the School Council have been working extremely hard to develop their proposals for the St George's Big Vote. As part of this, they were split into two parties and were required to develop an idea to improve Top Site and school life. Today, the children presented their ideas to the rest of Year 5 and 6 and took questions in regards to their proposals. They presented their ideas with confidence and passion and all members of the School Council should be proud of their work.

The 'Power for the Peers' (P4P) party idea revolves around developing a scheme to reward gold stickers and positive behaviour in which children are able to spend their gold stickers on a variety of prizes from a special cabinet. Code S.I.P (Smart Inspiring Party) decided to focus their proposal around improving the school playground and outside space by renovating it with fun and exciting opportunities to be painted outside such as board games, 'old school' playground activities such as hop scotch, or an activity trail.

This week, every child and adult will be able to vote for which idea they think will impact Top Site in the most positive way. The results will be revealed in assembly this Friday and the winning party's idea will come to life. Watch this space to see who wins!
