Wednesday 12 March 2025 British Science Week in Y6 This week, we have been celebrating British Science Week. This year’s theme is ‘Change and Adapt’ so we have been using our knowledge of light and sight to make adaptions for children with common eye conditions. Pupils designed outdoor activities and then used sound and bright lights to make adaptations for a child who might be long-sighted, short-sighted or colourblind. It was fantastic to see children showing consideration and understanding of these adaptations. If pupils want to make a poster showcasing their learning, there is a poster competition on Google Classroom. Details can be found here: https://www.britishscienceweek.org/plan-your-activities/poster-competition/.
