Compass Parent App and Portal
From April 2024, St George's has been slowly transferring our management and communication systems to the Compass Education App.
You can find out more about how to download the parent app from the Compass website.
We aim to make this is a one stop shop for all our families.
We are delighted to inform you that we now Compass School Manager as our Parent Portal.
This is an ESSENTIAL app please make it a priority to download as there are many important features in relation to your child/children that you will need to view.
Using our NEW Parent Portal, you will be able to:
- Access your child's Student Progress and Reports
- View up-to-date school attendance information
- Approve or enter upcoming or past absences for your son/daughter
- Update your registered email and mobile number details
- Access information regarding upcoming events and news
- Download, print and approve upcoming excursions and trips
- Access School Calendar
- Receive school news
From January
- Pay school fees (meals), charges and contributions - see below for more details
Once you log into the Compass App and portal we ask that you check all contact details and permissions for your child..
- We have worked really hard with our colleagues at Compass to transfer the full details from Scholar Pack but want to ensure that these are checked and correct.
- That is our initial safety and safeguarding priority.
- Please check the ‘Insights’ section on logging in to confirm your child’s/children’s dietary and school permissions are correct.
- Please e-mail us if anything needs updating using address schooloffice@stgeorges.wirral.sch.uk or send us a message through the contact us page on the website.
The app and parent portal will be updated regularly with new features. Eventually our aim is try and get most of our services in one place. However, we want to make sure that we get every phase of development right and slowly bring in changes
Effective January 2025, we will no longer be using ParentPay for school meals. All future payments for school lunches will be made through Compass.
The Compass wallet must have credit in the account for the teacher to be able to select them a meal.
Clearing ParentPay Balances
Please ensure that any outstanding balances on your ParentPay account are cleared by Friday 20th December 2024. This is crucial to avoid any disruption in your child's meal service.
Transitioning to Compass
To use Compass, you will need to:
- Create a Compass Account: If you haven't already, please create a Compass account online. You contact the school office by emailing schooloffice@stgeorges.wirral.sch.uk to request your login. Once you have created an account, you will be able to access a range of features, including viewing your child's attendance, adding attendance notes, reports, paying for trips, and academic progress.
- Top Up Your Child's Wallet: Once you have a Compass account, you can top up your child's wallet. This can be done online or through the Compass app. You can top up your child's wallet in advance. This is essential for your child’s meal order to go through.
- Set Up Auto-Top Up (Optional): For added convenience, we recommend setting up an auto-top-up feature. This will automatically top up your child's wallet when the balance falls below a specified amount. This can help to ensure that your child always has enough money to pay for their meals.
For families eligible for Free School Meals
You do not need to take any action. Your child's meals will continue to be provided free of charge.
For Universal Free School Meals (children in F2-Y2)
You do not need to take any action. Your child's meals will continue to be provided free of charge.
